Formed in 2010 by members of ex-DESTRUCTION, PATRONAGE, and current LAST RIGHT BRIGADE, Ibaraki D-beat Ataraxia showed off their ripped impact in 2018 at the Mito leg of the Japan tour with INSTINCT OF SURVIVAL and ATF. The cassette version of the full-length CD released last spring by Bakuon Rensou is now available! Brutal and heavy D-beat Crusty HC has something in common with WOLFPACK, early WOLFBRIGADE, and SKITSYSTEM from the 2000s onwards, and their performance, which is moderately fast but never too hasty, is full of raging momentum that resonates with current Swedish bands such as CRUTCHES, WARVICTIMS, and MARTYRDÖD, who have also visited Japan. The sharp lead guitar that is occasionally inserted between the developments that are conscious of stop & go makes you feel an excessive love for Discharge, and the crisp backing gives a glimpse of the commonality with not only Scandi and Mangel but also Swedish death metal, and the musicality that goes beyond the so-called D-beat Raw Punk and current Scandi style is clearly evident in their previous works. Hiromu-kun's D-beat, who is also an ex-patronage, has a unique groove, and when you listen to it for a long time at a live performance, you can somehow feel a strange euphoria! (Seriously lol) And although it may seem like a very different musicality at first glance, I feel a certain kind of hot passion in ATARAXIA that I felt in DESTRUCTION at the time. As COVID-19 raged around the world and many bands were forced to suspend their activities, they holed themselves up in the studio and began working on their first full-length album. CROW NOISE - "Flower of genocide" (Sukma Records)
Kuantan, Malaysia, is the stomping ground of the four-piece Crow Noise, who have risen from the shadows at the dawn of the dystopian 2020. Leading the flock is Rizal Ahmad, known in the Southeast Asian DIY punk circles as Wölfskin, shredding strings for Appäratus, Malaysia’s most internationally renowned crusters, and hammering skins in bands like Cave Crust Genocide and Hellsister.
This band’s lineup is reinforced with singer Scarecrow’s caustic vocals, Sludgehead’s guttural bass rumbles, and Paih Klavvar tearing up the drums. Besides Crow Noise, Klavvar is also crashing the cymbals like lightning strikes in Influënzia (crasher crust band) and splattering his creative ink across the artwork and layout of other local bands.
Crow Noise’s debut five-track EP, Flowers of Genocide, digitally released in late February 2024, wears its Deviated Instinct influences on its sleeve, yet dives beak-first into a territory heavily shadowed by the classic ’90s crust and crustcore. Essentially, Crow Noise takes the iconic dual vocal style of Nausea, blends it with the razor-sharp guitar tone and skin-crawling momentum of Disrupt, and wraps it in the stench and dark metallic rhythms of Deviated Instinct, Antisect, and Hiatus. Through their lyrics, Crow Noise peck at the carrion of society—human suffering, hypocrisy, genocide, environmental decay, and the consequences of humanity’s actions. “Crowman Screaming” was originally released as a single in 2021, while the title track, “Flowers of Genocide,” hits particularly hard, directly referencing the ongoing horrors in Gaza.
As the winds shift toward cleaner production and a certain level of professionalism even within the crust punk realm, bands like Crow Noise continue to release full-on DIY recordings with a maximum level of filth and abrasiveness, which is also their greatest strength. In short, Flowers of Genocide delivers a hefty dose of raw-fi production and extreme noise for those die-hard crusties who treasure the authenticity of self-released demos from various corners of the world, such as the Southeast Asian underground. DISSOCIAL is a dbeat raw punk trio from Shah Alam, Selangor and was founded in 2010 that has established a reputation in the punk and dbeat scenes. Like many bands in the Dbeat and crust punk scene, their lyrics focus on socio-political issues. Their songs often deal with themes of anti-authoritarianism, human rights, war and injustice reflecting the struggles faced by marginalized communities. The lyrics are usually delivered in a shorted, aggressive vocal style, adding to the intensity of the music.
NUCLEAR NOISE formed at the eastern end of Cirebon which was initially filled with 3 noise addict personnel. NuclearVoice was their first name, they felt it didn't fit so they changed their name to "NuclearNoise". They have released 2 full albums in cassette tape format. I'm pretty worried about people is South Korea, it seems that they have caught a strong and powerful Grind virus. For just few years their local Grind underground has grown up. And I’m really happy with that, because now we have more great Grind bands in our small family. So today we will speak about the latest release of Little Puppy Princess. This mad trio started only a few short years ago, but a few months ago they visited Australia on tour (and that was impressive). Our friends made some positive changes… They’ve grown up and they’re mutilating the dead with some wicked old school Grindcore. This has heavy effect on their sound and riffs (we will talk about that a little bit later) and that also has effects on their art. Just look at this collage! Okay I can can agree with the fact that is not unique, but this one looks badass! This one was made in 100% Grindcore fashion. So “Anti Scum Human” is receptacle for being 10 very fast, dirty, short and good songs. As I said before, the sound has changed, now it’s more clear, maybe even heavier… Song structures have become more rigid and direct. The guys are trying their best, they shoot you in a barrage song by song. They don’t want to give you time to breathe or time to open your beer. And I must admit that they sound even more aggressive now than ever. I like how this guitar sounds, it’s still a little bit messy but now its full of buzzing energy. The same can be said about the drums, now these beats sounds more confident and more powerful. So in the end I can only add that I’m really happy to see and hear these positive changes in this band. NUCLEAR POWER GENOCIDE - "Devastation Of The Future" (Bullwhip Records)
NUCLEAR POWER GENOCIDE is a new band formed by members of PARANOID and ABSOLUT. Both bands need no introduction since they are/were around long time ago and offered us some great raw tunes. Back in 2015 they released Jawbreaking Mangel Devastation split (2x7" and 12") and toured together in 2016, now they join forces, two members of the now defunct ABSOLUT (Chris on vocal duties and Joel on guitar) and two from PARANOID (Jocke on bass and Emil on drums) formed NUCLEAR POWER GENOCIDE and recorded four tracks for an upcoming 7" titled Devastation of the Future. NYTHGRAPH - "Visions of White Mountains (2021)" (Smixx Records)
Nythgraph is a one-man project from Colorado. The ideas of his artist began to take shape in the years 2006/2007, but the idea did not become official until 2019. His first work came a year later, 'Communication', where we came across an atmospheric/ambient black Norwegian cut.
Now, in 2021, his second album, ' Visions of White Mountains', will be released, specifically, on August 6. The cover has been made by the Catalan artist Joan Llopis Doménech where it perfectly reflects what is contained inside this plastic that is nothing other than the fears, insecurities, mysteries and the desire to delve into the other side of the mountains more cold of raw nature. A whole loop of harmony and depression where the protagonists are the keyboards, synthesizers and that heartbreaking and rotten voice of the founder of this somewhat disturbing story.
The recording is made up of four cuts where they touch the 40 minutes of musical tear, in which we are furrowing the most disparate winds of humanity where there are moments of tranquility, but there are others, where the fury and desperation to get out of that jail jumps that, sometimes, we don't know how to get out, those moments when schizophrenia floods our lungs until we run out of breath.
Themes where the setting is accompanied by their keyboards that give us moments of glory, and can even border on folk, but when the evil and the blasphemous come in, we run into a cavernous and very bloodthirsty black metal, which can create an ulcer without no remorse. 'Buried in Frozen Skies' and 'Burning Dream'breathe in that vegetation where nature can be as fierce as it is angelic. A disconcerting combination between the heavenly and the gloomy.
'Lost Amongst Storms' invites us to the cruelest part of the album. The first steps towards the unknown are made by an interlude and its companion by the synthesizers, a whole cluster of infernal settings, where nihilism is the clear exponent of this completely evil performance. The voice from beyond the grave will create havoc among the listeners. Of course, the peaceful keyboards are the trigger for the entire album, perhaps, we miss more malevolent orchestral passages that incite you to madness and agony. But, it is just a note, only he knows the artist's feelings.
The theme in charge of settling this production is his homonymous theme,'Visions of White Mountains'. The adventurer of these cold mountains returns to us to recite the harshness of the most adverse and visceral weather, where the compositional theme follows the course similar to his previous projection. After a few demos and EPs, ''Everything Belongs To Death'' is the first full lenght studio album by the trio PARASITARIO, roaring out of Osaka's deepest cellars. PARASITARIO are three young Japanese who pay homage to the death metal veterans in such a way that their knees should permanently hurt from adoration. Imagine the very early Florida Death Metal bands, first and foremost DEATH up to "Leprosy" at the latest, and add a fat pinch of early Holland Death by PESTILENCE or from the younger guard you could point out SKELETAL REMAINS as a possible source of inspiration. The whole thing is massively produced and garnished with the nasty voice like Martin van Drunen. All songs are full of staccato and double bass drumming, horny lead harmonies and a morbid grimy vomit atmosphere that makes it a real pleasure. Dedy Badic Art, who already worked for REVEL IN FLESH, SKELETAL REMAINS, MORFIN and many more, delivers a cover artwork that doesn't quite reach Ed Repka's level of the 90´s, but the zombie monks always provide the right old school atmosphere.

That's how I continued to interact with him, but I heard that he recently formed a band in Philadelphia, where he is currently staying! That group is PSYCH-WAR, a five-piece twin guitar band with Luke as the guitarist! ! And here is the first demo cassette of 2023 from SORE MIND by PSYCH-WAR, who have been touring energetically and are now in full swing! I listed the groups that LUKE has been in before, but as you all know, even though he's such a drunk and useless guy, all the bands he's been in are cool (but they always quit or break up soon after, sob), which is strange about LUKE, and this PSYCH-WAR is also pretty cool! Now, a few words about the music: I honestly think this is the perfect combination between old school stench core a la AXEGRINDER, DEVIATED INSTINCT, early HELLSHOCK and early nineties BOLT THROWER. I've been shocked by the thick granitic power of this new recordings and felt my eardrums under a relentless siege that I had to listen to this damn good record over and over again for the next days. Malaysian first band playing Noisecore Punk ala CONFUSE, GAI, DISORDER and ATROCIOUS MADNESS, LEBENDEN TOTEN, DISCLOSE, SHITLICKERS, BROKEN BONES, BLOOD SPIT NIGHTS etc. 6 tracks previously released by Black Konflik Records in 2009, 2 songs from Sense Of Crisis split plus 2 unreleased songs. History : The band was started in 2004 with 5 piece playing raw punk in the veins of MODERAT LIKVIDATION, KAAOS, THE UNSEEN at the time we use the name 'social security' but not too long after that SS split of some problems and only left 3 of us. Somewhere in 2005 we planning to started a new band playing noisepunk since no much of these kind around and we started doing new shits and keep practicin. After a couple of month we become really active and have been invited for some shows. We use the name 'WARDOGS' which was taken from one line in our unreleased tracks called 'total fucking control.

WARHOUND - Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum (Tarung Records)
WARHOUND has released their latest single titled “Parade Menuju Maut” the single is the opening on their upcoming EP album. The band from Malang, fronted by old faces Antox (Children Of Terror), Fajar (Neurosesick), Chesil (Virtual God/Sister Murder), and Oni (Rottenblast), formed Warhound, a rage chainsaw grindcore side project that is ready to go viral in the underground music scene. Their seriousness has been proven with the release of the single “Parade Menuju Maut” on February 1, 2025 which will be the opening for their debut EP titled Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum which will be released in cassette format by Tarung Records and will stop in several cities and countries during the EP tour. “Parade Menuju Maut” was inspired by war documentaries and films that inspired the writing of the lyrics. This single describes the footsteps of soldiers heading to the front lines and surrendering their lives to death. And in writing lyrics with the theme of war reminds of bands like Bolt Thrower, Sabaton, Marduk, and others. Warhound's musical inspiration is more oriented towards European grindcore by adding elements of d-beat hardcore punk to death metal into it and is called chainsaw grindcore. The name is because the sound of the guitar rumbles like a chainsaw that is ready to grind anything racing with bass distort and blast beat drums without mercy. Five songs in Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum will be out now and will be followed by their aggression invasion to several cities and countries in the EP tour.
