ABRASION - Post manic (Electrohell Records) RM15.
Abrasion nation in the year 2009. Originally formed as a project of only 2 integrators, where all their enthusiasm was put into making an alloyed and fast -paced music. A Powerviolence duo that will be inspired by style legends like Spazz and Dropdead. Her lyrics are very conscious and protesting, and her music is fabulous and entertaining. With very good sound quality Abrasion surprises with its brutality and good rhythm in which the themes are not made monotonously or abrupt. Perfect for lovers of modern Powerviolence. https://youtu.be/JqA3_K8sQVY

ANGKARA - Dogma (Broken Noise Records / Green Peace Distro / Disc346 Records / Zuath Generation Distro) RM10
In the first album titled "Dogma" which was released as a result of the collaboration of 4 labels, all that has been overcome very well, in fact the improvement is clearly bigger and massive. The original Hardcore / Crust Punk d-beat unit from Kulim, Kedah is back in style and "Dogma" is really powerful and full of energy. The CD features 10 songs as well as the addition of an intro making the total duration 22:11 minutes. The recording sessions as well as the mixing and mastering process were done at Warehouz Studio from April 2015 to January 2016. Their music, their lyrics, their singing-all merged like an expression of anger that erupted and overflowed. Listening to the series of songs in this album, you can feel the fierce and violent expressions and cries of Angkara, along with the aggressive nature of the rhythmic nature of hardcore punk music that they perform. Angkara in this album is lined up by Matt Rizal (vocals/guitar), Aziman Azmi (drums/ background vocals) and the inclusion of Pahrol Razi (bass/background vocals) who was not previously involved in Demo 2014. "Dogma" comes in an interesting package , a 7 "x 7" slipcase (like a 7 "EP vinyl cover). Angkara has already proven their potential and without a doubt“ Dogma ”is a fully recommended must-have. Listen Angkara :
ASOCIAL, one of the earliest hardcore punk bands from Sweden joins with obscure group, The Bedrövlers. Side A features Asocial, which are pounding out song after song of extremely fast, noisy and sloppily played hardcore punk. Most of the songs are the same and are quite humorous to listen to due to the sloppiness of the performances by Asocial. Unfortunately Asocial contribution to the split is lacking.
The Bedrövlers on the other hand are much more skilled in performance though equally noisy as Asocial) and are able to give out a few good tunes worth listening to. This split in the end only passed average and will only interest the hardcore punk fans.
AVSKUM - S/t (Black Konflik Records) RM20
A compilation album from this Swedish 80's Hardcore legend's Avskum. This CD contains 36 tracks taken from the 80's and 90's era. Original on LP released by Skrammel Records in 2016.

The CD contains all the band's previous demos and unreleased live from 2001 to 2010.Think Ghoul, GISM, Zouo, Bathory, Hellhammer, and Venom. A must have for all evil core fucking metal punk maniacs! https://youtu.be/ovTeFfXbvis
BLOODBASTARD - Next to dissect (Redrum Records) RM15
Hobby surgeons, flesh fetishist and horror freaks in general pay attention: your monthly doses of gore, blood, slaughter and other man degrading stuff is brought to you this time by the Bloodbastard brothers from The Netherlands. In only twenty minutes of playing time (and the band still says the album is a full length) nine songs are puked upon you whom actually tell again another horror story about a couple of maniacs who kidnap people, cut them in pieces, hang them in the living room and God knows what else. Only this time the background of the story is set in the northern area from The Netherlands and for the complete story I recommend to have a look at the website of these guys. The music of the gentlemen is wrapped up nice. Some sounds capes create the right atmosphere and the production also says it all: this is bone breaking, greasy death metal. The songs are mainly played in the same tempo. They are performed okay but a guitar solo is not available and from the two faster tracks one of them (‘Bile’) is a cover from…. Bile. So, those of you who dig the combination between gore and death metal can give this a try. Those of you who like their metal more sophisticated better make sure to stay away.
BROKEN BONES - I...O...U...Nothing (Black Konflik Records) RM20
BROKEN BONES, an 80's UK hardcore band formed by Bones and Tezz who left DISCHARGE, released a 7-track 12-inch "I..O..U ... Nothing" in 1984, and 100 Club in 1983. A compilation album with live recordings made in. Specifications with postcard and Japanese obi.
CORVUS - left it too late CD (Black Konflik Records). RM20
From Malaysia BLACK KONFLIK, the 2007 recording of CORVUS, a doom metal project by Pete Nash (ANTI GOTHIC LEAGUE, ENT, Filthkick, DOOM etc) and Bri DOOM (DOOM, SORE THROAT etc), is on CD for the first time! It is a paper sleeve specification that is rare in BLACK KONFLIK. The song was produced by Pete Nash, and Bri DOOM was in charge of the drum part and recording. It seems that he was thinking about activities as a band if there was a good reaction to make a demo, but since Pete lives in a remote place, he could not find friends to play with around him, and eventually he settled down in this form. That thing.
And so far, it seems that more than 8 demos have been quietly produced.
A song inspired by ELECTRIC WIZARD and produced by picking up a guitar for the first time in more than 10 years. Includes all 5 eco-doom metal songs that incorporate a natural theme into the feel of old doom metal bands such as BLACK SABBATH, AMEBIX, and MOTORHEAD.
CERVELLI STANKI - 15 years...old tunes new blood (Violax Records) RM15

(Youth Crime Recordings / Unified Resistance Records / Hit and Burn Records / DIS346 Records / Gravest Records). RM10
This 4-way split is complemented by DEATH BY FUNGI (Bombay, India), SHARON STONED (Gombak, Malaysia), LAST DITCH EFFORT (Southern California, USA) and WARTHOLE (Surakarta, Indonesia). Basically this product is the latest release from Sharon Stoned’s hardcore brigade camp but to be honest I was a little upset because 2 of the songs from them in this CD are songs I’ve heard before and are in their previous releases. Even so, I believe the selection of the song is the best selection representing Sharon Stoned’s maturity today. ‘Ait The Bait’ (which was once aired through the Continuous Resistance compilation) showcases Sharon Stoned’s latest ability to compose fast-paced, thick and rocky hardcore music while ‘WTF Happened To You?’ proving their creativity hardcore the original song The Offspring. Hopefully, in the next releases Sharon Stoned comes up with new recording songs. This split "Crossing Oceans" opens with two songs from Death By Fungi. Their music is fierce. Solid and loaded hardcore with strong metallic beats and embroidered with colorful melodic pieces. Among the musical formation influences of Death By Fungi are such as Propaghandi, Black Flag, Dillinger Escape Plan and Slayer. The third band, Last Ditch Effort which was formed around 2003 also contributed two songs in the nuances of Hardcore Punk that are delicious and uplifting with lyrics themed on political matters. The melodic part is beautiful and quite pleasant to listen to. Warthole who acts as the cover band of this 4-way split presents 3 songs where the last song is far different in nature and is considered a bonus for this CD. The first two songs of them are Hardcore rhythms that sound so solid and heavy, applied grind elements to taste. Most interestingly, the 3rd track entitled ‘Demi Nestapa Yang Bermekaran’ in my opinion is a drone / ambient noise sound track for 7:45 minutes. This bonus track seems to be my favorite and is often repeated, its impact is ruffled feathers. On the whole, this 19:32 minute overall CD split product is a really good effort. Sharon Stoned spread her name all over the world while foreign names in the hardcore/punk scene from various parts of the continent were introduced to the listeners here. Artwork by Kecoa Jahat (from Indonesia) is also so charming and the 12-page booklet is neatly and interestingly refined. I suggest you get this release soon. https://sharonstoned.bandcamp.com/album/crossing-oceans-a-transcontinental-hard-core-punk-madness-4-way-split

DEVIATED INSTINCT - Nailed (Black Konflik Records) RM20
A hammering, high-production level EP on CD with classic hardcore metal riffs, breakdowns, and sinister vocals, the latter from Mid who coincidentally provided a ton of great punk art for NAPALM DEATH and EXTREME NOISE TERROR. Double-kick-pedal-driven death crust riffs, escapist vibes, cyber-industrial landscape effects—this reissue of DEVIATED INSTINCT Nailed longs for a lazy summer day under the trees with a gang of your best squatter buds. In a world where such things are no longer recommended! “OOH!” Just going to have to thrash on my roof. Tangent aside, if you’re not that familiar with DEVIATED INSTINCT, Nailed is the perfect example of terminal filth stenchcore. It’s killer. “Slow Death Suck” is a must hear death crust track. For fans of SKAVEN, BURNING WITCH, 13… this was a pioneer release when death metal punk was making its way into the NYHC sound as well. “UGH!” REVIEWER JASON RYAN MRR https://deviatedinstinct.bandcamp.com/album/nailed

The barbaric vocals reminiscent of 80's Japanese hardcore also create a savage atmosphere !! Since its formation in 2009, cassette releases have been released so far. "UNEQUAL REALITY", which continues steady activities such as split flexi and compilation participation, develops Japanese hardcore with a noisy and low sound !! This is also a sound full of anger and tension that has continued since the 1980s !! ZIGAI's "ABSURDITIES", which the members are also enrolled in, is characterized by a super noisy and speedy sound with a loud, nihilistic and rude vocal! Kyushu Noise Hardcore Punk !!

Russian and Canadian hardcore! !! A powerful split CD by Ontari's D-BEAT HARDCORE and DECADE !!! by Moscow Crusties, FATUM !!! and ABSOLUT members who are new to Japan tour is from BLACK KONFLIK! !! FATUM is also the best now. The sleek, metal crust, punk sound with a metallic guitar riff as the main axis is insanely cool. The best. A co-release from multiple labels from all over the world, get it quick since my stock will be very small.
(Probihited Projects) RM10
When I listened to GANGBUSTER and thought that it was Oi! + OLD SCHOOL (USA), I covered AGNOSTIC FRONT in the 5th song. SENZA TREGUA is also a classic Oi! + OLD SCHOOL (USA), though the voice is a little crazy. The songs are POP for both bands. If you like Oi!, American OLD SCHOOL, 90's-00's street punk, you should have a favorite song. The point is that there is a variety of songs. Is Oi! Strong in the basics?

SPLIT CD from BLACK KONFLIK with 6 songs by Nagoya Political Crusty Hardcore Group J.U.U.M (collectively Japan Underground Unholy Method) and Hyogo Prefecture Himeji Tribal Crusty Hardcore Group, DEATH RATTLE! !! The veteran group J.U.U.M is already 80s UK ANARCHO PUNK & CRUST ~ '90s U.S. CRUST ~ All 3 songs under the influence of Japan HC! Isn't DEATH RATTLE, which should be quite a veteran, the first release work following the demo CDR? ?? Teaser's extremely noisy TOTAL CRUST sound is super astringent, but the members are also in charge of djembe, and a unique group that also has tribal elements! !!
KERENANEKO / ARCHAGATHUS - Mince to death (Bullwhip Records/cactus records/ pissed off records) RM10
ARCHAGATHUS continue blasting after their last split with unholy grave. This time more heavier grindcore with 6 person inside. They are from the Canada. From BLACK KONFLIK. 350 sheets press. Storm-like D-beat, swelling bass and ferocious noise guitar's black and swirling hardcore is awesome! !! The screaming / roaring vocals that seem to be buried and not buried are also terrible. It's really cool. recommendation!!!
Laukaus is a raw punk band from japan whose music, style and lyrics are inspired from the 80s finnish punk era and a mixture of japanese punk elements. they started around 2000/2001 and split in 2006. had released several eps before the split. Their latest work influenced by 80'S early Europe / Japan is from POGO77. Butchigiri PUNK with the same momentum of the album distributed by LOFT. I really want all Punks to listen! PUNK NUMBER with 3 songs!
LIFE - Ossification Of Coral CD (Black Konflik Records). RM20
Ossification of Coral is the third full-length by this long-running hardcore band from Tokyo, Japan. Life started releasing music way back in the early 90s, and they retain a lot of that 90s Japan sound even today. Ossification of Coral’s huge production is one link to the bigger bands of late 80s and 90s Japan (Lip Cream, Death Side, Nightmare, etc.), but so is the diversity of their sound. This record has straight up, Bastard-style rippers like “Endure Everyday” and “To Gain Freedom,” the epic, Death Side-esque title track, and even some grooved-out parts… I was always wary of those in the past, but they sound great here. Maybe it’s just me, but it seems like this 90s / Burning Spirits-influenced style isn’t as popular as it used to be. However, listening to Ossification of Coral reminds me how powerful this style is in the hands of a great band. A CD version from the previous LP released in 2020 by various labels. This CD contains an extra bonus track. 3rd full lenght from Tokyo's amazing crasher crusties LIFE. 13 tracks of their classic UK crust inspired raw noise. From crushing to catchy, sprawling and metallic to fast and aggressive. This LIFE at their best. https://notenough.bandcamp.com/album/ossification-of-coral
Born from the ashes of a proto-new wave trad surf combo called "Mambang Laut"and a punk rock band called "Radio Therapy" back in 1996 in Kuala Lumpur. So after a while in 2008 The only surviving member Nan the bassist recruiting new member from an another unsuccessful Indie band and setup an early "Lorsa".(Love/rocket/surfing/armada). Lorsa EP demo was in CDR , DIY produced in 2008. Then the band go to sleep UNTIL NOW...2019,,Psycho Au Go-Go EP is released.Blending Dick Dale's surf rock to The Cramps garage punk to the intensity of hardcore punk of Black Flag and the anthemic The Misfit punk rock, Lorsa is coming back strong in 2019.
MAXSHIT - S/t demo (Self Release) RM15
Labuan Grindcore Holocaust, Maxshit "Self-Titled" Demo Digipack CD. Heavy riffing style, compact blast beat and definitely old skool grind maniac. Bringing the sounds of Terrorizer, Disrupt and Assück, this 8 tracks released will brings you to a 100% grinding madness!
Indonesian FAST / THRASH HC band! It seems that they co-starred on VIVISICK's Southeast Asian tour, but the sound is a light and speedy 80 US style with high tension and high-pitched SNOTTY Vo!
MOZAK / ROTTEN CHARLES MANSON. (Pissart records/steward records/ Nervhous Records) RM10
Mozak: Average and nothing exciting black/ death metal from Slovenia. I just needed something better that hooked me either with something unique or better production. Rotten Charles Manson: A little better out of the two. More of the death/black metal, but they do go faster at times. At those times, my attention is restored. -don (Steward)
NARCOLAPTIC - Hypocretin. (Antikorper Export) RM15
The band from Hamburg / St. Pauli presents their fifth release with “Hypocretin”. It's been seven years since their last album “More Than Noise” was released on Antikorper-Export, but in the meantime it was anything but quiet around the band. Around 200 concerts at home and abroad (including Indonesia were played, including with bands such as Itchy Poopzkid, ZSK, Supershirt, Alarmsignal, 3rd Choice and many more. Many projects were supported - many festivals rocked. Their music is still to be understood as a means to an end and so the band works closely with various projects, be it VIVA CON AQUA or NOT BOCK ON NAZIS. The band even shot the “VcA behind the festival scenes” film for VcA. On “Hypocretin” the band has further developed their Skate Punk without losing their roots. The driving drums from Marlon, who also drums with the Ska Punks from RANTANPLAN, create the foundation together with the bass - the guitar work does the rest - very elaborate and accurately used. Don's voice is unique and full of character - the choirs are used skilfully. There are also ska and offbeat excursions, but they expand the songs instead of being annoying. The artwork was taken from KasiaKohl.com. Mixed and mastered by Role in the Tonmeisterei Oldenburg (fine cream fish fillet, disco // Oslo etc.) https://antikoerper-export.bandcamp.com/album/ae046-hypocretin-cd
NO HOLD BACK...All attack!!! - Twin cities hardcore punk rock and roll. (Havoc Records) RM15
One day some genius posts on an internet message board that the scene needs a new comp and before you know it there's a 54 band Triple LP/Double CD compilation of all local bands. This record covers all the bases from grindcore, to crust, to SE MetalCore to pop punk and more. Bands you've grown up listening to, bands you've never heard of, bands you'll never hear again. Over all pretty essential listening for anyone into what's going on in Midwestern punk and hardcore today. Standout tracks by Dillinger Four, Soviettes, Misery, Calloused and Holding On. This is only the second Triple LP punk comp I know of. (Dan Doh comp being the first). Available at a special low price because lots of bands played benefit shows to help put this out!
OBSESIF KOMPULSIF / ELASTIC DEATH - Thrash complex. (Suhatkor records/ Sukma record/ teriak records)RM10
His album describe two groups of young peoples from different parts of the world, highly spirits to playing musical insanity. Elastic Death comes from Brazil play American Latino Thrashcore and Obsesif kompulsif from Indonesia play thrash/grind. these materials from both is very fast and wilds.
PACK / SOL - southeast Asia tour 2005. (Life on the edge record) RM10
Taken from their split LP , re pressed onto pro CD for their southeast asia tour 2005,
Holy Shit! This fucking split tears it up. Pack comes from Switzerland and play blazing fast d-beat hardcore with superb breakdowns with duel vocals with what sounds like a little distortion on them. S.O.L. comes out of Germany playing a similar style as Pack but with a bit more a metal edge and is fucking amazing. Both of these bands sound tight as hell and with great recording quality and song writing. This split LP comes in a cool gatefold sleeve with silver foil stamp on the cover. Think about how many bad hardcore bands you've heard come out of Germany and Switzerland because I haven't heard many. Highly recommended. ( Chad )" (Profane Existence #46)
POGO MACHINE - Punk Revelation (Pogo 77 Records) RM20
The 2nd album of 9 songs from the POGO PUNK band "POGO MACHINE" has been released from POGO 77! !! The first song that starts with the roaring sound emitted from the muffler (FX or XJ ?, is the muffler BEAT or Moriwaki?) Of a 4-cylinder straight pipe set is the best! !! Of course, the end of the first song is a police car siren (laughs) Compared to the previous work, the wide musicality + POGO MACHINE's catchiness is alive and well! https://youtu.be/mY0RCUrlvA0
POVLACION / DESPERDICIO - Antibioticos (Black konflik records / war cloud Records) RM20

ROMI AND THE JAHAT'S Jahat's - Rumah (kasih sayang record / Papakerma / Nervhous Records) RM20
Indonesia I was notice this band from their previous album, Slonong Boys. The truth about being in a band and delivering the goods its not about what you were gonna be...it is HOW much sincerity on making a music. RTJ doesnt need attention on producing a material subject by an ordinary world issue, global warming, war, politics or protest lyric verse..etcetra.. etcetra. Am just love how Romi sing every bit of the word, deeply concern about the truth of being a man in real family life, early marriage conflicts, being unfair or wrongly doing, father-son truth bonding declaration, untold story between living in a house. That's suits the title album RUMAH. Its a concept story album in it. How you gonna correct the injustice system or changing the corrupted world, without you yourself never think to change the evil inside you. It is depend on you to contemplate the journey or meaning of being one. Listening to RTJ its a complete package to activate my senses. All instruments composition was in place with variety of drum stroke precise on every beat. This Album “Rumah” is a kill...with most of the tracks was brilliant arrangement and easy listening. This is How RTJ dealing in making a good material with no need super high end studio recordings. Just pure talent, sincerity, honesty & believe on what u stand for... RESULT : Peer Pleasure & ultimate NGAMs!!! (Adik Bollocks) https://youtu.be/pkFXHUy4PQY
ROTTEN BOYS - Teenage Waste (Pogo 77 Records) RM20
Italy Hardcore punk band Rotten Boys 2nd full album. An album following the masterpiece "Pogo, Beer and SPIKY HAIR". A work with a more metaric approach.
RUM REBELLION / HAMMERED HUNTS - Pick year poison (Rodent popsicle record) RM15
The world is still safe for spiky kids as long as the mighty Rodent Popsicle Records is still around. These two young Portland bands complement one another nicely. Rum Rebellion is a fast, Dropkick Murphys-inspired hardcore Irish folk punk band and Hammered Grunts play hardcore thrash. Each group covers a song of the other and also delivers five originals. It’s kind of surprising that there aren’t more bands like Rum Rebellion given the popularity of DKM and Flogging Molly, but it’s not a very easy style to pull off. Rum Rebellion manages to do it with as little cheese effect as possible. Hammered Grunts, likewise, stand out in that they have a very specifically late 1980s crossover hardcore feel that isn’t typically replicated these days. We’re talking time capsule material here. It’s hard to imagine Hammered Grunts booking shows on cell phones and the internet instead of via newsprint classifieds.
SEVERED HEAD OF STATE / SCUM NOISE (Life on the edge record) RM15
Live recording onto CD, no doubt about the quality of sound, the front cover artwork done by marald (doing tons great artwork for state of fear, wolfbrigade, assrash, destroy, profane existence zine, etc). SHOS delivered very energetic live recorded sound. The music is an onslaught of power that can be described as the inbred bastard of Detestation and His Hero Is Gone with a distorted beast on vocal duties /while scum noise is a really crazy brazilian thrash crust legend band, they also doing cover from driller killer and olho seco.
SHIT-FACED - GREATS sHITS! CD (Pogo77 Records) RM20
POGO77 1ST ALBUM of familiar SHIT-FACED. It has a slightly different sound stance from DRUNK & POGO PUNK! POGO MACHINE, which contains all 15 songs, and the melody is also very important. https://youtu.be/nTcoTIIQ0r0t
STRAIGHT TO HELL - 02-04 discography. (Gloom Record) RM15
Goddamn, one shudders to imagine the plethora of slayed dragons and razed villages that must’ve fallen prey to this band in their short two-year existence. I’m getting that from the cover, which features an army of soldiers coming out of a large dragon-headed ship, being led by a guy with a He-Manesque breastplate and a dog’s head. It’s really no big shocker that Gloom released this: Straight To Hell’s playing straight-up thrash, with throat-rending vocals and the occasional screeching metal solo thrown in. The bad: I guess I really shouldn’t review thrash shit anymore; all of these bands just start to blend together after awhile. The good: Smart, scene-critical lyrics in a genre that almost always goes for the dumbass A-B-A-B rhyme scheme.
SUBURBAN SHOWDOWN - Any minor inconvenience must be eliminated. (Rodent popsicle record) RM15
Suburban Showdown’s one of those bands that you’ve heard approximately one trillion times before and you most likely know well before you actually hit the play button if it’s going to be your thing or not—it’s gruff and growly and repetitive and firmly entrenched in all the trappings of crust punk. All the requirements are here: A-B-A-B rhyme schemes, stark black and white graphics, a Discharge cover. However, they’re also keeping things at a relatively amped-up pace—we’re only looking at ten songs—and they’ve managed to tackle an interestingly broad range of topics, both as punk consumerists and those in the outside world. Ultimately, they’re pissed, and there’s a great howling undercurrent of fuzz on those guitars, and while this particular genre is pretty played out for me personally, there’s no doubting the fact that Suburban Showdown manages a pretty nice attack here.
THE AVOIDED - The early years 1998-2002. (Villainy Prison record) RM20
Live house Nishiogi WATTS showed overwhelming excitement in the late 90's. Among them, "THE AVOIDED" live, which received overwhelming support from day laborers as well as skins and punks, was so oxygen deficient that the lighter could not catch fire every time. Scatter.
THE BOLLOCKS - The Ep's 1995-2017. (Black Konflik Records) RM20

The Discocks were a Pogo Punk/Oi! band formed in 1992 with Peter (Ohashi) and bass, Naka-chin on guitar and early D.S.B. drummer Hiroichi on drums. In 1992 the band released their first EP “Voice Of Youth” on their own New Age Records. In 1998 the band broke up and members Peter and Hiroichi went on to play in The Avoided, a band with a more ska oriented sound. After five years, Discocks returned in 2003 with a new line-up and a new, more aggressive sound and with “The” dropped from their name. They recorded a three track reunion demo called “BSS Punk Sessions” with Mishima on drums and soon to be Extinct Government guitarist Hiroshi on Guitar. In 2005 the band released their first full length in almost ten years called “Don’t be Fooled…” on Nori (Tom And Boot Boys) own label Pogo77. After a Korean tour and various gigs around Tokyo the band recorded five new songs for a split release with Swedish punks “The Negatives” (The Bristles). The CD was released on MCR. The band continued to play until late 2007. Peter now plays in Reggae outfit 45RPM. Naka-Chin now plays in a 1980s punk tribute called “Punk & Disorderly” with Nori (Tom And Boot Boys), Kentaro (ERECTiONS) and Hidenori (Hat Trickers).
This Japanese CD includes all songs that they recorded and released for 12 years. 22 songs + 1 unreleased song with 16 page booklet insert - SUPERB STUFF. Originally hailing from Hiroshima, these off-their-rocker pogo punks now claim Tokyo as their boot-stomping ground. Their first vinyl EP release Stand Up Fuckin' Punks has cemented them as the next generation of Japanese street punks carrying on the torch first lit by the likes of THE DISCOCKS & TOM & THE BOOT BOYS! https://youtu.be/92fAGtI7mqk
TIPPER GORE - The first four months. (Flat black record) RM15
This is the bands original demo, recorded after the band had only been together for a few months. This is by no means a low-fi recording. Recorded in a studio and originally self-release, this recording brings to mind The Faith's early material or the SOA "No policy" EP but with a catchiness that makes each song memorable.

21 songs recorded CRUST. Indonesia, 2008. CRUST HARD CORE. Isn't it so much in stock last time? I thought, but the metal crust is fast and quite good. D-BEAT RAW HARD CORE. It's a cheap setting, but it's not bad.
A corker of a collection of Latino hardcore bands from Chicago’s Southside, including Eske, Jodido, Tras de Nada, Non Fiktion Nois, PKDores, Reacción, and I Attack, respectively. Most of what’s on here speeds by at a nice clip, is lyrically split evenly between English and Spanish, and all of it is top notch. Included in the liner notes is an explanation as to why so many Southside bands play hardcore punk, an answer that, as the product of East L.A.’s punk scene, I can attest is pretty universal. I hope the label makes this an annual “state of the scene” report of sorts for the Southside, with maybe an expansion in the number of bands represented, ‘cause, as Los Crudos illustrated some time ago, the scene in Chicago’s barrios was apparently quite vibrant, indeed, and apparently remains so.–jimmy (Southkore).

26 BEERS - Long Walk, short Pier. (Rodent popsicle record) RM15
Newer band from the Boston area that pulls its sound from a few different genres. Punk, thrash, metal, crossover, and hardcore can be heard in their take of anger music. They may start out playing a chunking, heavy riff at one moment and then change it up with blasting beats. A great feeling of manic rage but with energy that is consistent and fierce. Music that you want to play in your car with the windows down to offend nearby listeners while you are screaming at the top of your lungs. A reference that comes to mind is that this band reminds me a lot of Fall Silent. Especially the vocals with its screamed yet controlled output. With a band name like 26 Beers, I really thought I wasn’t going to like this. Musically, they won me over.
