Nightjar, formed in 2020, is a four-piece hardcore punk band from Kuala Lumpur. Comprising Jimmy Idris (vocals), Sam Pangkers (guitar), Ijam (drums), and Afnan 48V (guitar), Nightjar emerged from the remnants of the disbanded thrashcore group Suicide Me Not! (2003-2007). Drawing inspiration from diverse genres, Nightjar released its first single 'Kau Bukan Bossku' in November 2022, followed by 'Nightcrawler' in July 2023.

Bottled Violent are a five piece hardcore punk band from Bandung, Indonesia. The No Rules EP is a follow up to 2023’s EP, NIHIL. Although their name is a nod to Minor Threat they also reference Formaldehyde Junkies and Amdi Petersen’s Armé as heavy influences. While those comparisons are apt, their modernized sound is closer to bands like Milk (Japan). While other current bands in Indonesia like Crucial Response and Gloath go for a harder edged sound, Bottled Violent trade in their distortion pedals for more melodic songs. Setelah sebelumnya melepas "Nihil" EP pada tahun 2023 lalu, sepertinya Bottled Violent masih punya stok energi lebih. Energi yang diluapkan dalam "No Rules" yang adalah mini album terbaru dari band hardcore punk dari Bandung itu. Tidak banyak yang berubah secara formula agresinya, mereka masih konsisten bermain dalam ranah old school hardcore punk yang sedikit banyak dipengaruhi oleh band-band asal Amerika Utara dari era 1980-an. Yang paling signifikan terdengar adalah ada progresi di produksi rekaman dan sound-nya yang bisa dibilang lebih jernih bila dibandingkan materi rekaman yang dilepas sebelumnya. Suatu pertanda baik yang menunjukkan bahwa Bottled Violent mulai mempertajam bentuk ekspresi agresinya dalam rekaman.
