Review :

The Last Mohican from Segamat-CENDOL'S DEAD consisting of Hasanul Byteey (vocals), Zaid Hashraf (bass), Haji Bob (guitar/vocals) and Alipan (drums) has released an EP titled "Duit Kuasa Sialan" in pro-tape format , which was first distributed around the beginning of March 2016. The EP material went through a process of recording, mixing and mastering at Brain Studio (in December 2015) under the direction of Mr. Angah. "Duit Kuasa Sialan" risks 7 Punk Rock / Hardcore Punk songs that are energetic and so passionate. Various musical compositions; loud, crusty, hard, catchy / melodic in some parts and chaotic craziness in places !. This EP starts with a song called Segamat Johor which is like an anthem from Cendol’s Dead in introducing themselves and the scene of their birth. Subsequent songs are a summary of Cendol’s Dead’s grievances and anger about the politics of deception and oppression, criticism of the system of government, the greed of superpowers, and even touch on the subject of hypocrisy in the scene including criticizing the practice of seniority. On the closing song, Cendol’s Dead took the bold step of replaying the song Aku Cinta Padamu (Siti Nurhaliza) processed in their hardcore punk style. It is unique and done wisely. On the whole I think, if you guys love Chaos UK or local legends like The Bollocks and Carburetor Dung, you will definitely love what Cendol’s Dead has to offer. The band stands firm in their opposing culture. At the end of this review, I would like to convey another Cendol’s Dead message which reads: Fucking rockstar, Fuck You !, Fucking rockstar, Fuck You !.
